This was something that was entirely new to me, so I didn't really have any expectations regarding what sort of service we would receive. I have to say, however, that I was impressed with the extent to which the company went, to make the walk as easy as could be managed.
Walkers tips There was one point along the route where we took the wrong path. There seemed to be some ambiguity regarding which direction we should be going, which might be made more clearer in the notes. No harm done.
We were very impressed by your efficient, prompt and friendly service. The information you provided was thorough and everything worked to plan. The B&Bs all worked out fine and the luggage transfer was very efficient. Many thanks for helping us have a successful walk.
Walkers tips This is a very enjoyable walk through some beautiful and varied scenery with plenty of up-and-down. You need to make an early start from Porlock if you want to get to Lynmouth in time to collect your certificate before the information centre closes!
Great holiday that provides plenty of opportunity for seeing a range of different landscapes and walking on different terrains. Everything went well and according to plan.
With only very minor exceptions everything was perfect. Great job - thank you.
Walkers tips We had a great time and the service of Westcountry Walking holliday was outstanding. If you can find the time and the money take an extra day in Lynton and upgrade to North Walk House. It's a wonderful place to spend some time after a few days of walking.
The service from Westcountry Walking fully met my expectations. Efficient and friendly at all times.
Walkers tips Coleridge Way, although just 51 miles, goes through very varied and, at times, tough hill walking countryside. It is a beautiful walk and well signposted. There are a couple of wayfinders missing or unclear between Porlock and Brendon, but maps were accurate. Useful to have a compass on tops of Exmoor if the mist/fog comes down.
All B&B owners were very welcoming and committed to their role. So we experienced only helpful, facilitating welcomes; and good service for breakfasts. Never felt hurried out of the door, or 'sent to brother's restaurant'.
Walkers tips We found the people we met living in inland northern Somerset very engaging and approachable, and keen to help if asked.
Hello Kwan, Just wanted to say that the holiday was great, thank you. We loved the walking - only got lost a few times - and the accommodation was very good. The owners were particularly helpful and a couple even gave us lifts to help us on our way. We will be looking at your other holiday options for next year. Being able to walk on both our travelling days was a real bonus so we will be interested in anywhere with a shortish train journey from London.
We loved our walk and would definitely book with you again
Walkers tips Try to visit Coleridge Cottage the day before you set off!
