Walking Holidays
specialise in self-guided, pack-free walking holidays
/ hiking vacations and short breaks in the Westcountry. Our
walking tours cover some of the best of England's scenery
with grand cliffs and seascapes, rugged moorland and picturesque
villages. Below are links to the main walks.
Please note that not all walks are always available. Where
tours are currently available their prices and available dates
are shown on the pages below.
The South West Coast Path,
from Minehead in Somerset to Poole in Dorset, (at 630 miles,
the longest walking trail in England), offers endless Self
Guided Walking Holiday opportunities and choices. Or you
can take one of our Guided
Tours.
Dartmoor and Exmoor,
steeped in history and legend, two of the most famous moors
in England. Both are great venues for walking holidays. Choose
from our Dartmoor Guided Tour,
our Dartmoor Self Guided Walks,
an Exmoor Guided Tour, or our
Exmoor Self Guided Walks.
Two Moors offers a longer walking
vacation that combines both the Dartmoor and Exmoor walks.
Self Guided Walks are normally
available. Some Guided Walks may also be available.
The Macmillan Way begins at
Boston, on Lincolnshire's North Sea Coast and wends through
the heart of some of England's best countryside, including
the Cotswolds, to Abbotsbury on Dorset's English Channel Coast.
We offer 9 sections for you to choose from on this Self
Guided Walk.
The Tarka Trail is a circular
Tour beginning and ending at Barnstaple in north Devon, taking
in The Exmoor National Park and the Spectacular North Devon
Coast. The tour takes its inspiration from Henry Williamson's
classic book 'Tarka the Otter', which was filmed around here.
Select from our Tarka Self Guided
Walks or, when available, our Tarka Guided Tour.
Clovelly is a delightful North Devon "heritage" fishing village situated on the
South West Coast Path.
Less than an hour's sailing away from Clovelly is Lundy Island, a designated marine
nature reserve. As well as puffins it has a mediaeval castle, an inn and a church.
