Two Moors offers a walking vacation that combines both the Dartmoor and Exmoor walks.

The Macmillan Way - Beginning at Boston, on Lincolnshire's North Sea Coast, through the heart of some of England's best countryside, including the Cotswolds, to Abbotsbury on Dorset's English Channel Coast. 290 miles, 27 sections for you to choose from.

The Tarka Trail - A circular Tour beginning and ending at Barnstaple in north Devon, taking in The Exmoor National Park and the Spectacular North Devon Coast. The tour takes its inspiration from Henry Williamson's classic book 'Tarka the Otter', which was filmed around here.

Less than an hour's sailing away from Clovelly is Lundy Island, a designated marine nature reserve. As well as puffins it has a mediaeval castle, an inn and a church.

Important Walking and Hiking Information

Clothing
We do order fine weather for all our clients tours, but we can't claim a 100% success rate, so we advise you to bring a good strong waterproof hiking jacket and a pair of waterproof over-trousers preferable with zips in the legs, so they can be pulled on and off without taking your boots off. Skin cream to protect your exposed skin from the sun and wind is a good idea.

Footwear
Your tour will take you over a variety of terrains from tarmac back roads, stony lanes, good footpaths and rocky footpaths. In wet weather some of the footpaths may become muddy. Along the way you may encounter some steep gradients both up and down. A good strong pair a waterproof walking boots with ankle support and good gripping soles are a must. For your own comfort, please make sure they are well worn in. Don't forget your favorite blister remedy. Just in case!
